Apparently Pontiac will be running a factory sponsored GTO driven by veteran race and rally drive Rhys Millen in the Formula D drift championship sponsored by the SCCA:

He would have won the D1 contest in LA if they had told him the right time for the finals :thumbsdow . His Evo rally car 4wheel drifting around KILLED everyone else. He is as good as the japanese guys i would say.

There is a pic of the real car in Super Street this month. Ugly. Unpainted body kit, black, way too small rims that do not belong on a muscle car, and a big tall spoiler... and a terrible stance. It is riding stock it looks like.
I really hope it's still nowhere near finished :D
