I have a quick question! you always hear people saying they will use their dremmel to P&P their intakes and what not...
Well is it as easy as that... because I know if you make the holes to big you will lose all low end torque!
Is there some science behind this, or do you just make the holes a bit bigger... ??

let call your local dealer before you do this to order a new intake manifold ;)

I just port match the manifold openings to the head. There's also things like Extrude Hone which feed some kind of abrasive compound through the manifold to smoothen the insides and make the opening bigger.

Unless you really know what you are doing or have lots of spare manifolds lying around to play with, I don't recommend anything more than port matching. Last thing you want to do is fill up the mistakes. Don't forget the match the gaskets too!!

Using a dremel takes forever, you really need to use a true diegrinder that can hold a sizeable bit and a flapper roll...
Most manifolds will see a huge improvement just from removing the casting lines and flash that stick out into the port. Port matching is relatively easy, however try not to start tapering the port in and back out.
Most popular motors have porting templates available..
I know that you can get them for just about any chrysler motor from Mopar performance, Racing beat sells them for the rotaries, I think you would need to just find a specialist for your car and ask them..
From what I have read through the years in various speed mags, extrude honing is very expensive, makes the ports very nice and shiny, however does very little for horsepower as the putty is blind when it comes to material removal, the last article I read on extrude honing, the engine actually lost 5 hp with the porting, not very good for 500.00 US.... Gasket matching gives almost no gains what so ever, take your stuff to a reputable speed shop.
