does carfax just check cars from teh states? or all cars in teh world?

All Cars, I looked my volkwagen up, and it found it. told me where and when it was made, who owned it, if their was any accidents etc.....

It isnt very reliable.
I got unlimited for a month a while ago, ran a bunch of Carfaxes for Beyonders.

One guy had 3 accidents and total wreckage on his car, and Carfax came out clean.

I think it's supposed to be accurate in the states, but from my experience, it isn't very good for Canada.
