I just got a ticket in NY (Thoi I live in Texas) I cant afford to pay it (and cant afford to come back up here to fight it) Any advise on what to do? And what would happen if I just throw it away?

Texas has an agreement with New York that the demerit points are transferrable and that it may affect your ability to renew your Texas D/L until it is paid. However, I would keep money on me at the time you go to renew your licence in case this appears as an outstanding item, and they try to hijack you for it. If it passes then, I think you might be in the clear - until you get stopped in NY again. They may treat you to the hospitality of one of their fine group gathering centres, and then introduce you to an honored state official.
