I remember seeing a stat in import tuner that the best C18DET they had seen saw upwards of 450hp on the stock internals. After that I believe the only weakness to go for more is the cylinder head design which doesn't flow enough at higher engine speeds.

The CA has more potential that the SR in my opinion. It has a stronger bottom end. the only problem is the aftermarket support is not as strong. and they are harder to find because they are not as trendy as the SR is.

I have a ca18det in my 240 and i love it, even with a almost burnt out clutch it was pulling hard. like 95acc said the ca18det is built stronger than the sr20det and it can handle alot more abuse than the sr20 but the only problem is that parts a extremely hard to find for it compaired to the sr20det. nissan stopped producing the ca18det because it was to expensive to produce. in my opinion its 10 times better than the sr20det.

3 years ago there wasn't.

Tomei even has a 2.0L stroker kit for the CA18 now...

you can get a lot of the parts from the dealership as well.

This car was apparently dyno'd at 210PS at 0.8kg/mm boost:
