WTB: 300ZX, BMW 3 series , MR2 or 240sx

OK here's the deal.....i'm looking to buy a new car and these are basically the four cars I have narrowed it down to. Looking for a 1990+ Nissan 300ZX NON-TURBO
1992-1996 BMW 325 (willing to consider other 3 series cars)
1990+ Toyota MR2 turbo or na
Most recent gen 240sx
I cannot get insurance on a 300zxTT so it is not even an option. Also....will not consider any other cars than those that meet this criteria so please do not post them. So far, I am not interested in any of the cars that are posted in the marketplace currently, I am looking for anyone that has not posted their car and is looking to sell it.

goto www.canadatrader.com theirs a few 240s, 1995 on their for around 10grand...

also, i'd recommend, not gettin the 92-95 e36s for some of them have been known to have alot of problems :thumbsup:

umm....all maximas hav the 300zx engines in them (VG30DE)? jus in a NA and fwd version
if u hav cash i know of a 300zx NA w a TT swap in it, so if insurance looks up the VIN it shows up as a non turbo...its mybro's, he wants a decent chunk of cash for it tho, comes as stillen stage 5 i think it is? (Intake/exhasut/ecu/downpipes/testpipes/BoostController) and stillen brakes, racing seats, stillen bodykit,jsec tails and jspec fenders...:rolleyes: i know haha, jus hav side markers in them...the swap was done recently too, everything runs nice n strong,and ask anyyone that knows him he drives it like a pussy too haha

Thanks for pointing out the engine thing Boostless...I was pretty sure that those two cars had the same engine. That TT swap your bro did sounds pretty sick but probly a bit much to skip on insurance policy.........they always ask me a crapload of questions and say that my insurance will be void if I lie so i dont think that car is an option. Sounds like an awesome car though. What's he looking to get for it???

Also.......not to sure about this but.......isn't the engine out of a 300ZX slightly different from the maxima in that it is set up for a diff tranny? Therefore wouldn't an engine swap not be possibly??? I always figured that the maximas had the tranny attach to a slightly diff position on the engine block.

not sure, pm me fopr his # if u want i really dont know too much bout it, and the engine n everyhting is next to new, turbos, intercoolers, just got a new clutch master cylinder and slave by sunridge nissan a lil while ago, and the clutch hose thingy, probly one of the better condition Zs here tho by far, n he has a set of 18s + rubber he's willing to throw in for pretty cheap, as for insruance thingy hes got a HORRIBLE record, and he manages it somehow, they know it has a "stock turbo engine " in it, but as long as its the same car they didnt seem to really care or something since it was originally NA, like i said he knows all bout how that happened, so feel free rto PM if u wannknow bout that or talk to him/see the car
oops n i forgot to mention, he has some kinda JDM BOV setup, ARC i think it was..

as for the maxima ZX thingy, w/ enough cash, it could b done, dont see y u would tho, theres already a decent chunk of aftermarket support for that version of the VG30DE,, even on www.stillen.com

well yo my cousin is selling his 1997 bmw 328i convert, it has 5 speed tranny,6disc cd changer, 2sets of tires, hard top for winter driving,leather interior, and a bunch of other stuff, pm me if you are interested, he wants about 25000$

import either a 300zx or mr2 (sw20) from japan... you can pickup a good condition 300zx (na) for the lower reigons of SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS yes, $6000.....

What sort of issues are there with importing a car from Japan?? I'm sure this could become a leangth discussion so if you could just point me in the right direction i'm sure I can figure it out.

for 6K why don't u import a 300 from states and either fix it up with what u have left or swap a new motor into it... That's what I did perfect body excellent paint and about 3K in general repairs = almost new feeling 300zx.. pulls like a bitch
