I am not trying to flame/slam to don't get all defensive - I've only been on here a few weeks.

I have seen a couple people talk about "drag strips" and street races, even a little autocross.

But does anybody road race? Are there any good tracks in Canada? Are the non-F/I cars just not good on the road course? At local tracks here i rarely see any Import guys and it had me curious...

I don't roadrace, but I do hot lap on the local roadcourse in both my SLK 320 (N/A) and 944 Turbo (FI). Both cars have their advantages and disadvantages on the course. I see you have a 944 as well... :D

There are tons of great tracks in Canada - Montreal, Toronto, Calgary...

Local we have www.racecity.com.
The track seems simple but it's decieving to the eye as it's very fast paced with some optical illusions. It does lack elevation changes but the more people that come up then they can rasie more money for track improvments! :)

The best place to get info would be:
Calgary Sports Car Club
www.cscc.ab.ca (FIA Affiliated)
Forum:
http://cscc.speedracer.ca
***
Other places for info:
www.wcma.ca
(Governing body for Western Canada Except BC)

I am assuming you mean quarter-mile time? I dunno, probably never will. I never planned on making a 9 second strip beast so there really is no point in drag racing.

Road course is where its at.

Despite the rumors, I am not dead (damn eh? :D) As has been said, things have been hella busy for me at work. But my project is almost done now! WHEEEE!! Nothing like 60 hour + weeks to make your life interesting.

Anyhoo, the Calgary Sports Car Club is the best place to look for non-drag racing events in this city. We're the largest and most active club in calgary for solo 1 and 2, road racing, rally (navex and pro) and rallycross. For more information on the clubs activities, check out http://www.cscc.ab.ca, or pm or email me for more info.

If you are looking for just general road racing or solo info, its tough to beat corner carvers (http://www.corner-carvers.com)
