I don't think Calgary will win this game anyways.

It's like a must win for Detriot and plus Global's Feng Shui master already predicted a wings' win

Gonna be tough to put 3 more past Cujo...

Flames don't do so well during afternoon games. It's OK though, regroup for the next 2 home games. :D

Well just watching the passing, Detroit made the Flames look like PeeWee kids. Crazy how fast they bang the puck back and forth - Flames have their work cut out for them that's for sure.

How about Yzerman cross checking Oliwa into the boards in the first. BULLSHIT no penalty. If Oliwa did that to Yzerman he would have gotten another suspension I bet.

Then whoever the Calgary player was who slashed the stick out of someones hands and got the call for it (leading to Commodore's penalty and a goal.) If they're gonna call that it's fine but you've gotta call that in Game 6 of the first series where Iggy had his stick knocked out of his hands.

Then there was they high stick on Warrener that was 'justified' since whoever caught him was hit. That's bull, every other game I've seen and the stick comes up they say that he should be in control no matter what.

Detroit deserved to win that game I think...but it's not even fun to watch when there are so many questionable calls. Right at the end I loved all the Detroit calls trying to 'even' things up once it was 5-1.

Welp, that was a disgrace of a game, calgary god worked in every single avenue.

Poor Kippur, he's an awesome goalie but he's not a fuckin miracle worker, the players are letting detroit get FAR too many chances on him.

Absoutly terrible game, I hope they are ashamed, review the game tonight and learn what they need to doo for the rest of the series!

GO FLAMES GO!

Penalties hurt the Flames in this game.
At least Iggy beat up Hatcher.... haha that was wicked.

I bet a lot of Detroit fans (the ones that dont know much about Iginla anyways) were thinking,
"Iginla, this guy is an idiot, he's gonna LOSSSSSSSSSSSSE"

habsfan
04-24-2004, 04:19 PM
well to be fair i wouldnt say iginla kicked hatchers ass, it was even i'd say, but iggy got the nice punch in after he took hatcher down

Rydog
04-24-2004, 04:23 PM
that punch ruled, i was jumpin out of my chair when he smoked the Hatch.

anyways, it's all good, Flames did that just to give them a false sense of security....er....something like that.

all i know is i got tics to the game on Thursday night, so the world is right!!!! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO GO FLAMES!!!!!!

actually it was schiender who hit oliwa from behind. i loved how oliwa didn't come after him and fucking pummled the guy. great discipline.

haha hatcher..old fogie, got rocked by iggy!

i was scared when warrener got hit..i serously thought the series was over when that happened

and sappy knocked chelios back to the medevil ages hahaha. how'd you like that buddy!

davidI
04-24-2004, 05:15 PM
Yea, my bad, it wasn't Yzerman....but I just heard on the 960 it was Chelios?

The flames played discraceful today. It reminded me of minor hockey games when both teams had a vendetta against each other, or when your in a series and your team is going to lose and you just fuck around and try to piss off the other team. The flames just seemed like they were desperate the whole time :(

Red Wings are just too good for us period. It'll be a miracle if we win this series

Anaheim beat them last year did they not?

Orbie
04-24-2004, 10:57 PM
IMO, expect to see Detroit sweep the rest of the series with goal margins similar to today. I was expecting a 5-1 killing by Detroit, but 5-2 is close enough. Calgary isn't even in the same ballpark as post-season veteran teams like Detroit.

Don't get me wrong, I would like to see the Flames win, but at some point you have to be realistic.

Exactly...a miracle, but even more so with us. Last years ducks would beat the current flames.

Sutter just needs to teach Iginla the triple deke, then we'll be mightier than any duck team there was. Oh, and maybe we need a black guy from L.A. who can shoot a knuckle puck. :D

its because in 2002 we were up 2-0 in the series against detroit, then they won 4 in a row, done in six games
