First Generation Talon's, Eclipse's or Laser's, with your budget, you can pick one up and make it hella fast...

Turbo+AWD= WHOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO

If you are looking for power over reliability, go with a 5.0L stang or Eclipse, talon etc. These cars have unlimited tuning potential and are fun to drive. One concern with a Talon or Eclpise though is who is going to insure it and for how much (because of the turbo).....consider that as well.

If you are looking for reliability, stay away from those cars period.

Hey, hey, hey they honestly are not that unreliable, they do require a lot of up keep...but if you care for them they can be a blast of a car to drive and take to the track...

I am just going off of my personal experience and research into these cars. 4 out of the 4 friends who have these cars have had the turbos die or the engines blow. I am not saying every single one is like that but it is not just a rare occurence. The problem is that people drive these cars hard and when you are buying one, you have to accept that fact and deal with any problems that may arise because of it.

I never doubted they weren't fun or fast.....I would love to have one as a project car or track car, but as a daily driver, I dont think I would want one. I would defenitaly pick that over a ford clitaurus or cavalier though. ;)

hmmm i dunno maybe a turbo charged civic would be better?
Just like that one at secret street, blew a mustang.

hmmm ol school power is always good, do you care about gas mileage?
If not, an ol' GTO
maybe Iroc
older corvette (stingray style)
mustangs are good (pre 70's always catch the eye)
pre 70's camaro, if you can find one with a 327, it's GOLD!!!!

Imports and cousins of
I like the ford probes
talons
Toyo. supra
older celica
Mazda's are good (mx-6)

lot's of options there
bring a bud with you who knows a little about engines and drivetrain to check them all out in what ever you're buying. Anything used is bound to have little problems. You want the one with the least amount of problems.

E30 M3 might be my favorite car, it's more than 11 grand for a decent one though.

Fuck, being the old Grammar Police Chief, I can understand frustration with spelling but it is obvious this is not his mother tongue. FWIW he spells A LOT better than some of you who ONLY speak English, so kindly STFU with the speak English crap.

ChrisW, I do agree that the E30 M3 is a fantastic vehicle but you'd be very hard pressed to find a good one for less than $18-20K. (It is also not the best car IMO, the 1992 MB 500E is )
