Car Importation from USA

Just wondering if anyone knows the costs involved in importing a car from the states. One of my friends said you need the speedo converted to km/h, but that can be done with a JDM unit. And then there's customs fees that vary hugely, :dunno: anyone have any experience or insight?

sigh...do a search, there have been MANY topics posted about this in the past months

and no...never heard of having to cnvert speed to km/h since the usa speedo will still have km/h on it but in smaller letters (I know this since the 300SD I used to drive was a USA car...) Depending on the car there may be things such as day time running lights, different bumpers etc. that may need modification/replacement for the car to be legal in canada
