WTB: Car/Truck $2000 or less

I'm looking for something running good, as new as I can get for so little, 2 door, pref. 5 spd, not necessary though.
I just need something that I can get in and drive home and not have to fix before driving.

I know what you mean. They have a so-so reputation and it really depends on the individual car. Mine's been great, with the only problem since new being the ignition coil. Also, we bought it new and its been taken pretty good care of. But I know where you're coming from.

My cousin is selling his 89 Jetta Wolfsberg edition, 5-speed, 180 k's,sport interior,sun roof,mags, nothing to fix mechanically, safety inspected, new windshield rear struts & bearings, good rubber, no leaks.

Power windows, door locks, p/s,p/b, Cruise, A/C, Alpine CD player, clutch done 1 year ago.....$2500 o.b.o.........don't think he'll go as low as 2 g's, but close.......
