How much does a new one cost for an Integra and where would someone get it from?

What is so good about them compared to stock?

Talk to Rick Chandler at Silverhill Acura, he runs one in one of his race cars. He told me it was around $12,000 US

oh, and its a waste of money IMO

Don't buy a spoon engine...
If you want a mad setup go to www.importbuilders.com and speak with them or check out ww.honda-tech.com and you can learn a lot there.
IMO take a B18C5, of if you want to save some cash take a B18C1, convert to a Type R Head.
Anyways raise compression to 11.9:1 or high if you like, add the bolt ons, do your whole vavletrain inclduing cams, upgrade your fuel and either get a stand alone or just a Apexi unit to tune her and you should be good for about 200-220 WHP depending on what internals you run etc. etc. etc.

Well I guess it depends on which one you go for. The most expensive available for selling is the 2000cc 18C that produce 220 HP @ 7800 RPM. However, that is only the block and the head. So by the time you get the ECU, tranny, manifolds, etc. It will most likely put you up to $13,000 CAD.

I don't recommend interchanging engine parts. Its just not reliable. Just swap a B18C5 and call it a day.

Here's a stupid question, will a car with 11.9:1 compression even run on street gas (ie. 92 octane)?

Yes it runs perfectly, the spoon motor my friend had ran fine on 92 octane pump gas, but had to fill up quite a bit since it used a lot of gs and plus he had a fuel cell in the back
