WTF? I have heard of thes conversions, but never thought there'd be one in Calgary, let alone Canada!!! I FULLY converted trans-am, even had an 80's california plate that read 'KNIGHT'... the interior was EXACTLY like KITT, all the displays and he was talking too!!! The lights in the front, everything!! Took many pics, but alas the old S400 doesnt fare too well at night in a moving car...

is it legal to have the license plate?

its not actually from california right? and even then, would it have been the old school style?

it had the old cali plate on the bumper, and the new AB plate in the window... illegal if you ask me

I saw it last week on Barlow . The lights in the front grill were going back and forth just like K.I.T.T. I had a good laugh. I had forgotten about it till I saw this post.

Yeah the guy who owns that car works with my brother. He even has bought the computer to hook up to the car to make it talk. The California liscense plate is even an origional from the show. It sure brings back good memories.

The dash is a digital. but when i drove by it on beddington the speedo says he was doing over 200km/h.

Pretty neat IMO but i wouldn't take the time and money to make something that a few 25-35 year olds would find cool!

Would someone mind explaining the significance of this car please? Maybe it's because I'm 20, but I have no clue what this is about. I'm sure some others may not know either, so that's why I ask.

Thanks

Youngen!! Hahaha!!!

In a nutshell, its a old skool show from the 80's featuring David Hasselhoff and a computerized, smart-ass talking Pontiac Firebird.

Here's a detailed explaination:

And if you remember 'Knight Boat' on the Simpsons, that a parody of Knight Rider.

Fuck man, I'm 20 and I fondly remember Knight Rider. It was an integral part of my childhood. This, and MacGuyver were the way to go back in the day.

Yea, I remember that car from way back when I got my security system for my old car at Quinn security. They did all the electrical wiring and stuff. Took a look at it in their shop. Really cool.

hey! i remember the show Viper, they filmed some of the episodes here in town.. I saw an episode that featured one of the Channel 7 news reporter guys (some asian dude) and showed the calgary tower in the back ground. They were filming a chase scene down sarcee/bow trail.. by my house.. there's two quick 2 second shots that have me and two of my buddies in the background with our bikes (we wernt supposed to be in the shot, but we snuck through some bushes along the hillside).

hahaha cool show.

I saw the KITT car up by sunridge a few months ago, it made me do a double take! Loved that show when I was a kid, now I have to go rummage through my old junk to see if I still have some of my old knight rider toys(i used to have the talking car!).

Yeah I saw this thing a long time ago on Memorial East, it was stopped next to me at a red light, and you could see all the cool guages and lights...I was in such awe that I just kept staring at all the trinkets wondering what they all did. Very cool!
