hehe. When I call people in the US, they refer to them as "triple K", not KKK. Touchy folks.

Whats the potential of the kkk on your 944, would that be a turbo for me to consider, I have a t3/t4 already but something new and unique always works for me.

all depands on wheel/trim, a/r, etc... will determine the HP which a turbo can make. If i was you i would stick with a garret turbo

I think the F40 used some sort IHI turbo

Yah since I have the garrett I might as well stick with it but the kkk would be so unique.

The KKK's aren't very efficient, thus I've switched to a hybrid Garrett/KKK turbo. It's Garrett on the cold side, but KKK on the hot side for mounting purposes. If you noticed that my car smokes (oil), it's because of the hybrid design, doesn't seal in the oil going to the turbo properly.

My stock turbo was a K26/6. It was enough for 18psi boost peak at around 4200rpm, drops to 8psi by redline. The new turbo can boost 30psi all the way to redline for the 2.5L engine. Not sure if the turbo's big enough once I go 2.82L.

are you using your factory exhaust manifold? how does the turbo spool?

Is it unusual for the turbo ferrari guys to modify their rides, Im so not informed about what goes on in the wonderful world of Ferrari. I can just see it now, F40 with an avcr, huge ass intercooler, stand alone engine management, and a custom intake and exhaust setup

http://www.nsxfiles.com

Check the hill climb stories, there's a heavily modified F40 that runs with the NSXFiles boys.

The older audi's like the Sport Quattro (mmmm homologation) used KKK turbos. I think volkswagen uses KKK turbos, but I'm not totally sure. I know porsche is using them.

Incidentally, KKK is an acronym for Kuhnle, Kopp & Kausch
