Anyone know where I can pick up a helmet for a decent price?

I searched the forums and found that people usually recommend blackfoot motorsports. I went down there yesterday and didn't find anything in my price range. Everything that was $150ish was dot and snell approved, but didn't actually have a snell rating.

All I want is a basic black full face helmet that'll let me race at race city. Is there anywhere in the city that'll have these in my price range?

try bow cycle and forget the full face and just get a normal helmet

When you look at the SNELL sticker there will either be a 95 or 2000 on the sticker... Thats the rating Race city looks for...

You don't wasnt Snell 90... Tats the minnimum... Race city can change that at any time...

G.W. Cycle... Talk to Brad... HJC helmets meet the criteria...

If you're going to buy a helmet, get a Snell 2000.You won't be able to use a Snell 90 for much longer. Spend the extra bucks.

Good call on G W Cycle. Had exactly what I was looking for, gave me a good and treated me well. Nice people there.

Oh, and incase anyone else doesn't want to sound like an idiot, the helmets that have snell approved on the back usually have the snell rating inside the helmet ;) My bad.

Don't get a motorcycle helmet, they are only designed for one big impact wheareas race car helmets can withstand multiple impacts which is more likely when u tumbling around in a car.

if you look inside it will say a date of manufacture... that is (basically) your snell rating.
