I found this civic that needs a bit of work. The guy was in a hit and run and his insurance will go up if he claims through them so hes selling the car. He wants 3250 for it and i think he is pretty firm on the price. Check out the pictures and let me know what you think

Thanks

I forgot to add that someone tried breaking in before so thats why the paint is missing on the ps door. It also has some door dings and a few other dents here and there.

Does it still run? CX or DX?

Seems that after you pay for repairs, it'll cost about the same as a non-damaged one...

take the pictures to a body shop or if you can convince him to take it to a body shop with you and get an estimate done. take the 3250 and add it to the estimate and see what it comes out to. 98 civic that has 150,000 k and has been repaired we'll say is worth 6-7000 dollars???? make sure it doesn't add up to be more that whatit woul dif he had done the repairs already. i'd say you'll get a decent deal if th body work turns out to be 1500-2000 dollars.

it runs perfectly, but i havent drove it to see what the clutch and tranny is like

. I will take it to a few bodyshops to see what they say.

Parts themselves will probably be more than 1500-2000.

The car isn't worth more than 1000 - 1500. Its gonna be 3k minimum to get it fixed. And that would be a pretty shaddy fix.

that thing is a write off. look at how the rear quarters are all buckled. there is frame damage for sure and i think it would cost more to fix then buying one in good shape.

i had a look at the frame (where that bar across the back mounts to) and everything is straight under there so i dont know if the frame is damaged or not.

You really can't tell unless you put it on a jig. I agree that there's definately frame damage, from the rear 1/4's buckling so bad.

Damn, I didn't even see the quarter panels

It'll probably be 3000 to fix :)

Add the 3250 purchase price, and you have a $6500+ write off. It's really not worth it.

if u can get it for 500 or under, might be decent, or just part out misc. things, ie: fenders, front bumper, even hood can be fixed...thats based on what i see, front looks ok, unless i'm blind...even steering wheel if it has airbag might be worth something....but car doesnt look to be worth much..

Nope i wouldn't touch it. Even the shit that wasn't apart of it being in an accident is in bad shape.

even if it came with the parts on page 2 it'll be a lot better to just buy one that isnt messed up.

That car is a good candidate for being a parts donor. Frame damage is tough to repair, expensive to repair, and even the best jobs still aren't perfect. Plus there seems to be abuse damage on the rest of the car so I think you made a wise decision Lococoin.

That's looking pretty beat.
The owner would be better off selling it off in parts. Most of it is salvagable, but not worth fixing.

Where is this guy? I'd be interested in his instrument cluster, if he's willing to part out. My civic is at almost 140,000 km, so this would be perfect.

Oh that car is a write off for sure in case anybody was wondering.
