Faulty Injector

So my vehicle is throwing a faulty injector code, other then the trouble code I'm not to sure whats wrong with it, gas mileage has stayed the same and engine idle and performance hasn't deteriorated as far as I can tell.

My question is should I get the injector cleaned and hope it fixes whatever was wrong or should I replace it?

Maybe try pulling your injectors and checking the spray patterns. Then, if they need it, flush/replace them.

Does it say which cyl. is throwing the code? If it is try swapping the injectors and see it it changes where the code comes from. If it's a bum injector I might have one to replace it in my toolbox.

Its injector 5. I might have to try that swapping idea, trouble is the code gets thrown once every 3 or so weeks for no reason and has been happening since I bought the vehicle but this is the frist time I've been able to get to a dealership in time before the computer clears the code. It's certianly a cheaper idea then just blindly cleaning/replacing it.
