I currently have a c333 with rogers :thumbsdow

Horrible.... just got a new job so i got some money to blow :D .... well not really, but whatever.

I still have a contract with rogers so i think im gonna have to stay with them. Plus their service seems to have gotten better as of late. So what phone would you guys recomend. I would prefer some sort of flip phone since i tend to tial random numbers when its in my pocket :banghead: i really dont car how much i have to spend to get a great quality phone that is gonna last 2-3 years. I dont need any cameras or that kinda crap. All i ask for it a battery that will last a couple of days and decent reception.

So.... any recomendations?

well i'd try to go for a Quadband phone.

VXXX Series..I'm not too sure about the V300 though.
you should talk to roopi, he knows best!

I'm very happy with my S307. It's got a fantastic battery life, and the size is great. I don't think its going to be outdated anytime soon, since this thing is pretty tiny. It also runs on the 850/1900mhz network, so the reception is good. It's relatively cheap, too. You can get one for about $300, probably less.

i LOVE the V300, all the Vxxx are pretty much the same, the V300 is the cheapest... GREAT RF, gets better every day

FYI if you have a C333 call rogers and complain, they have an offer to C333 owners for their suffering they get a free C370, which ive used and also gets GREAT RF like the V300!!!

Why not get a V60? Sure it's old, but IMO it's a pretty solid phone!

the V60 is a great phone, but is triband, 900/1800/1900. Since he is on Rogers, he would be better off with a phone that supports the 850Mhz.....it does make a world of difference. xkon knows what I mean :)

Yep, it's a dual band phone that supports 850 and 1900. Perfect for Rogers that uses both or Fido (1900Mhz) if you decide to switch carriers and unlock it.

youll love the c370... i bought it off a fellow beyond member for a friend and i used it for a bit first, and i loved it... the size, the sound, and the UI... which is odd for me considering i HATE candybar style phones! the V60 is nice as well, but on rogers getting a 1900 phone now is pointless!! The C370 is a Power Class 4 phone as well meaning it can pump up the wattage to hold a signal... not all 850 phones can do this, only the newer ones! and it does matter, my V300 is like being on a totally different network compared to my old V60... well, i guess it sort of is!

so what do i tell them?
cuz all i did was tell them that my phone is crap and my battery lasts for 2 hours
then the lady told me to hold on while she looks into it
she comes back on and tells me that my warranty is expired and that she'll give me a refurbished piece of shit for 50 bucks plus a 25 dollar fee and extend my contract for another year

LOL i've used up all my "free phone" credits with Rogers. If you know how to play it, you can get a free phone at least once every 6-12 months.

The C370 is a much improved color c333. The speaker is improved, the voice quality is also better, and so is the battery, which you can finally replace, should it go. Strangely, my c333 had some of the BEST reception of any phone i've ever owned.

To claim your phone, be straight up about it. Tell the CSR that you know of a current promotion where Rogers customers can upgrade their C333 to a C370 and you'd like that. Don't beat around the bush, don't ask if they have any "specials" or whatever. Just go for it.

i am kinda in the same boat.. I have a Nokia 3590, and its started to trip me out.... I go to scroll threw my list, and it starts skipping to whereever the fuck it wants... the LCD comes on and off, even when I ain't using it...

Really wanna get a new one now.. I am still in a contract for like 5-6 months... So i dunno if I should wait and get on with Bell or stick with Rogers as there service is getting better...

what are some of the mainstream phones that are around 150 bux?:dunno:

that sounds fixable, I have a 3590 you can have for $50 (until you qualify for hardware upgrade)

or for $10 for every month (last time i heard) remaining you can get your hardware upgrade early
