Rules:
A picture of an automotbile will be posted. If you know the type of vehicle feel free to post your answer.
Please do not post another picture until the previous picture has been revealed.
The individual who is first to indentify the vehicle get's first dibs at posting another vehicle. If he or she forfits that right then the next picture post is up for grabs by any member. Let's try to keep these to production or race vehicles only. No weird kit cars or helicoptermobiles thanks.
Make and model must be posted in order for the answer to count. Year is not necessary
Please post unmodified vehicles only unless they are race cars
Here is the first one, Good Luck

Nope , not a Chirade was a small car, it's not a daihatsu. Observe the interior of this vehicle there are some nice materials used. The lines and shape of the dash board and the gauges really help to distinguish the nationality

Laforza. Limited production Italian SUV originally designed as a military vehicle. The only vehicle in history so far to destroy the crash test barrier instead of vice versa. Used a Ford 5.0 engine for the North American market.

Alright I'll try not to make this too hard.

I'll even give a big clue - It's a British/American hybrid.

Redlyne_mr2
05-05-2004, 10:46 PM
Is the maker austin healey

Heep
05-05-2004, 10:49 PM

TVR Grantura

Heep
05-05-2004, 10:51 PM
Very nice guess, but sorry, no.

Another big clue - It was made by Britain's oldest surviving car manufacturer.

roopi
05-05-2004, 10:54 PM
So it's an AC Cobra then?

Heep
05-05-2004, 10:57 PM
Oooo so close - you've almost got it. It's more or less a Cobra under the skin, but that re-bodying also brought along a model name change....

cocoabrova
05-05-2004, 11:03 PM
Jennsen?

Heep
05-05-2004, 11:05 PM
Nope, not a Jensen, though that's also a nice guess - the Jensens of the period used British bodies with American engines, like the mystery car.

roopi
05-05-2004, 11:07 PM
AC 428 Frua?

el_fefes
05-05-2004, 11:08 PM
AC 427!!!

Heep
05-05-2004, 11:10 PM
A.C. 428 and 427 are both correct answers - that particular one is a 428, but the 427 also used the same body.

However, roopi got it first, so it's your turn. Congrats :D

JustinL
05-05-2004, 11:44 PM
Ok, here's an easier one... so I'll just post half the car and see if you guys get it. This car is the most beautiful POS in the world.

Edit-- I'm going to bed now so I'll confirm the answer... if there is one in the morning.

Just a word of advice for everyone. I see a few people are linking these pictures directly from the site they found them. This is usually a bad idea since the file name can give it away. It is better if you upload them to beyond or host them yourself but change the name!
