View Full Version : Guess the car

Serb Pimp

Ok, rules are:
Maker, model and possible enginemodel have to be correct(Cabrio counts same model, but coupe and 4-door are different, get it?). Only production vehicles(no tuningcars, sorry, this includes but doesn't restrict to the likes of Brabus, Koenig, etc.)
If someone has guessed something like maker, or model right, the "judge" can say that someone was getting close, but may not reveal the right guess.
First, 3 leads are given, and every now and then more clues.
After the initial 3 clues, and 5 additional, no more direct clue are given, but the guessers may ask questions, and the runner of the guessing may answer to them, but the answers cannot include a)other models of the company b)possible mothercompany c)any part of the name of the car
The first person with the correct answer wins, and gets to do the next one.
No edited messages are taken as guesses on the car.
All help is allowed, aka books, google, fast-autos... You name it.

I start.

Here is a list of Italian car makers:

Fiat - (Perhaps)
Alfa Romeo - (Dont think so, cars mostly used FR set-up)
Lancia - (Dont think so, main development was 80's rally)
Ferrari - (Probably not, Mostly FR i think with a few MR)
Maserati - (Maybe)
Lamborghini - (pretty sure they only used MR setups only in 60's)
Bugatti - (possible)
De Tomaso - No (used a Ford V8)

The only one im sure about though is the De Tomaso's

Hmm, from that list, my money is on bugatti, but I didn't know they were around in the 60's. But it sure does sound like one of their inventions. A V-12 6000lb monster.

I thought ferarri released a front-engined V12 in the 60's, however I also thought it was RWD.

Lambo's out
Fiat, don't think so?
Alfa Remeo - my second guess.
Maserati - I don't think they built any V12 monsters in the 60's.

The Lambo GT's are rear wheel drive. The 400 has a trans axle but it is in the back like the 928 and the current Vette's
