Hey guys just a real quick question here: How do you get from Chinook Centre to George Blundin/Optimist arenas?

I know you go north on Glenmore Trail, but I don't know where to turn off?
Help please?

Thanks

ok ... go north on glenmore trail .. actually, its west ...

the easy way is this : follow glenmore trail all the way around.. it'll turn into sarcee trail and go past richmond road and past westills shopping center.. keep on going..(the road takes a turn towards north at the shopping centers) ..

on your right will be a worlds gym or something, hten a honda dealership, then a football field after some apartment buildings...

The football field is your landmark! You'll see a big arena looking building, this is the Optimist / George Blundin arena's.

You'll come up to 17avenue and you'll turn right... go straight on this road, you'll pass a small residential area (stay in your right lane) on the left will be an AMA then a set of lights.. I think this is like 45th street or something? ... turn right here.

Follow this road , it'll go down a hill which is a playground zone and there'll be a community center on the left ... keep going straight and you'll see a 4way stop, turn right here (theres a mini-mall on the right and field/school left) .. go down that road a ways and turn in to the driveway going to the arena's..

Now the stripped down version:
Glenmore trail West (or north if you will) all the way around til it turns into sarcee, takes a big bend right, past the shopping malls , keep giong straight.

Turn right at 17ave.

turn right at 1st set of lights accross from AMA

turn right at 4-way stop, turn right into arena.

Finally, a faster way:
Glenmore trail ..
turn right on 37 street. Follow it all the way down to 17ave, turn left. (esso on the left, mac's kiddie corner, left corner is a mr sub)

Turn left at the set of lights - 45 street? (district 2 police station on the right)

follow straight to 4-way stop, turn right.

Hope this helps!

We noticed that you guys seemed to be getting tired.
It looked like you guys didnt have any energy left in the last 5minutes or so of the game..... 2 quick goals but then after that, it was downhill for you guys.
But solid game for you guys still. The goalie was fantastic.
Did you see our goalie?
He was a young guy, our regular goalie didnt show up so we had to ask 1 of the goalies from the previous game to play for us. He was AMAZING for us tonight too! I think he was 16 or so and he played like a pro!

I'm not sure what division we'll be placed in yet but .... I hope its 1 of the lower ones.
Our team is pretty much all NEW, only about 3 - 4 (includ. goalie) played together last year. So we're still trying to fix the kinks.
What division are you being placed in - if you know ?

Yeah we definitely were getting tired, our team is just like yours pretty much brand new only 3 people played together last year as well. Alot of our guys just want to get on and play but not come off...we have some people running 1 minutes shifts while others are staying on for up to 4 minutes...

Haha yeah we were talking about your goalie after the game we all had agreed that he had to have been 14 years old lol but he did play an outstanding game.

Yeah we're still unsure of what division we'll be placed in but we've been getting wrecked by every team we come across so it looks like we'll be placed in Div.5
