planning on making my own since grill craft is sooo expensive...
any tips??
buy mesh at home depot. Theres a variety of types (ie: size of mesh, shape...etc.) It's damn cheap and I'm sure you could do 3 cars with one buy.
Just remember to spray some anti-rust and them paint it.

what's the easiest way to mount the mesh to your grill?
or maybe there is only one way... :dunno:

the home depot "gutter guard mod".....about $4 for all the mesh you'll ever need/want.
buy some bondo and use that. When you put the mesh down use tape to hold it in place first, then bondo where needed.

Or get some of that "GOOP" or whatever you can buy - its like glue, its sold in a large tube. Just rest the mesh using something (tape is good), and throw that shit on there. Let it dry and done deal.

is this a joke?
you can buy a DECENT grill from autozeal for around $50, if not less
I got the aluminum gutter guard from cdn tire, cut it into strips, then bent it so each strip fit each of the 4 parts of the grille, spray painted it with crome paint. Then I used GOOP to hold it in place, worked great and doesn't look any different then the crap you buy for 50 bucks

You can buy very nice mesh from home depot, a bigass sheet for around 4-5 dollars.

No they have actual sheets of metal mesh. Try Revy, thats where we bought some for something I was making. Its a huge piece (like 2x8) and its thick stuff.
