Anyone have any experience with this tire? I'm considering these, but I've also heard good value for the money from Kumho's. Anyone have any suggestions?

^^WTF do they ride on then, the wheel??

Try checking some tire sites like tirerack, tiretrends, or 1010tires. Those tires are all-season performance so don't expect them to grip exceptionally well on dry pavement. I heard they do alright on snow.

Try looking at Kumho ASX, as they're similar in specs.

sorry folks i ment sidewall stiffness. if your going for a non performance minded tire then the tread is good. wear is not bad (its like 400 i think) but like i said before theres no sidewall stiffness. it feels like i can stick my finger thru it

I'm just looking for a tire that gives much improved handling over my stockers, 300+ treadwear, and all season capability. Uni-directional would be a plus as well, as I hear they are slightly quieter.

I'm just about to put a set of the Falken ZE-512's on my Jetta - we'll see how they fair in a few days. They were recommended by a friend who's got them on an older Legacy (WRX swap) and he's been impressed by the dry/wet traction for the money (cheap) and treadwear seems to be respectable too. I was looking at the Kumho 712's but the Falken's had better reviews.
