.... Any camera with a lower than 2.1 MP, will kinda suck.
If you want quick snap shots at a low budget get a logitech or lower model Kodak.

the 1st pic is more a webcam than a digital camera really. Logitech makes good stuff.. but if u really looking for a real digital camera..defintily something 2.1 MP or higher.. i got a S200 which is 2.1 I think.. and it works great! nice and small and very durable (sp?) haha dropped on the ground a few times and its still working with only one small dent on the front and little problem w/ the SD slot opening thingy..

2.1Mp can still get good pics. You just need PS and don't stretch them to make them look great. I give some 2.1Mp pics from a Canon S100 if you want to see.

You have all seen my pictures...2.1Mega Pixels baby...

More megapixels does not nessessarily mean better quality...its all in the lens, the settings and the skill of the photographer...

My camera would suck if I had to make poster sized prints, but it will do photo quality up to 8x10 which is as big as I would ever want to make them...

My camera also bows ass at macro...anything closer than 15cm starts to blur...whereas look at Ekliptix, his camera owns at that

in case you havent been there...I have my pics here.

I will be hosting for Ekliptix soon too, where he can build his own galleries as well. It will be very very nice.

yaa.

2.1Mp can actually be 'ok' for macro, but there's less room for error:

You can go to Delta Information Systems (downtown Calgary), they're selling that Logitech pocketcam for $169.
Looks like a decent cam to keep around and take snap shots of ricers. Cept no flash.:thumbsdow

If you want a real cheap one, you can get a 1.3 Olympus point-and-shoot for 209, or a 2.1MP Olympus point-and-shoot for 280.

If you just wants pics for the computer, i think they are fine.

Before I got my D60 I had a little 2.8 megapixel cam. Wasn't too bad. As benny said, you can't make them super huge like poster size, but I found the pics I took were good for the internet and some smaller prints. Definately worth it to have some kind of digital though, I used to swear by film but after hitting school this year and getting my new digi, I made the switch very quickly

well depends wat u gonna use it for mostly? cuz for 1.3MP u can either get the logtiech one, which is 170 but doesnt have LCD/flash, or get a real camera w/ LCD/flash but it would cost u over 200 :D
