Just wondering if anyone here has taken the Canadian Securities Course, and through whom they took it? I'm thinking of starting this next week through the CSI, and doing it correspondance style. How difficult was it, and how long does it take to complete?

Thanks.

It's a great course for anyone. Not too hard, took me 6 months but that was back when there were 2 big assignments.

I'm hoping I can have it done by sept..... but I'm not sure if that is a realistic expectation. Did you do yours correspondance?

As far as I know its only by correspondence. They send you the books, you study and write the exam. Technically you can do it all in a matter of weeks but unless you are studying full time for say 3 weeks, that aint' happening!

I crammed for both exams the night before each one......and got the assignment from another student at the university.

You should be fine, it's not that hard at all.

ahahaha...nice job Pacman! :D

I did it way back when it was one exam and 2 assigments and it was a bitch if you waited too long ..the assignments usually took 25 and 40 hrs each...apparently now it is a quite a bit easier so good luck...

:werd: Those assignments were brutal, took me at least 40 hours to do, and I'm not a slow ass by any means. This two exam thing sounds much better!

Yeah, the assignment still takes at least 40 hours to do. In fact, it took me 6 or 7 hours of hard work just to make some minor modifications to the assignment I already had.

As soon as you get your package, start asking around to see the assignments that other people have received. It seems like they have about 12 assignments that they have going at any given time.
