Does anyone have an experience with these vehicles? My boss just bought a 2004 HSE (4.6L) and it is NICE!

I cant afford the $110k price tag but have noticed that the 99-00 models arent that pricey (around $30k). Does anyone have one? How reliable has it been? Any weak spots in the vehicle?

The new BMW powered Range Rovers are excellent. I would avoid the older ones, as they have classic English-level reliability. If you do go for an older one, finding a diesel one would be ideal.

Next years Land Rovers will have the Jaguar (Ford-built) V8s.

Which years are the BMX (X5) engines?

It isn't the X5 engine, but quite close.. has a bunch more torque.

The Range Rover will continue to have BMW V8s for this generation.. the new Discovery will have the Jag V8 next year.

2003+ Range Rovers have the BMW engine (in fact are completely BMW designed). There is also a Inline 6 diesel engine available, although probably only in Europe.. I've driven both and they are sweet, especially the V8.

Sad part is that BMW was going to put the V12 in, but sold the company to Ford before beginning production on the V12 model.
