View Full Version : Your Ideal Car?

Sitting around bored today and it got me thinking what my ideal car would be right now.
For me, it would essentially be a G35 Coupe with a DOHC 4.0 all aluminum V8. Twin Garrett GT28RS turbos, dry sump oil system, forged internals, and blueprinted/balanced. I think I'd want the engine to be slightly oversquare (ie less stroke more bore) so it could rev a bit higher, hopefully to about 8 grand or so. Add to that a couple of oil coolers, big front mount intercooler(s) with water injection, tranny fluid cooler, giant radiator, and possibly a power steering fluid cooler.
Then a full JIC FLT A2 coilovers, 18" Nismo wheels, Nismo 1.5 way lsd, and that would be pretty much it.

It's sure nice to dream sometimes, anyone else fantisize about their ideal car?

to bad the j-body is gonna die. atleast the cobalt looks cool. i was thinking the same kind of thing, cept i was thinking what would be the best car for the ultimate street car challenge. so it would still have to be comfortable and get good mileage and emissions. my car would have to start out with a custom engine. twin turbo hybrid gas electric V6 of about 3.4L with the dual displacement function like on chrystlers hemis. it would be mid engine, rear drive. magnetic ride control suspension. tube frame suspension and a fully carbon shell resembling a LMP900 race car. 15" 6 pot front brakes and 14" 4 pot rear brakes. 18" Rays G-games wheels and michelin pilot sport cup tires. thats about all i can think of for now. :burnout:

Small 2-door,2 seat coupe. Rear drive. Front or mid engine, light and turbocharged. As light of chassis as possible. That's all I ask.... someone build me this car and SELL IT IN CANADA! *cough* Lotus.

There are rumors of Porsche building something similar, and there's also the Razor concept.

McLaren F1 and Pagani Zonda are close to perfect for me.

stuff within the realm of reality... a reliable FD will suffice

well it would run on an endless supply of soda pop, so i could pull over and have a drink when i was thirsty. the there would be a magic cinamin bun maker in the dash that needed no supplies, yet always had tasty tasty gooy buns with lots of icing. the car would run on never wearing r-rated tires, and have more power than i could ever use (from the CO2). It would have safty systems that could detect accidents and avoid them. Cruize control would be an auto pilot so i could watch TV on long trips. oh ya, there would be a tv with a direct link to a satalite with every channel unlocked so i would always have something to watch...

there is more, but i need to work it out. be back later.

hood mounted gatling gun, I wont use it for RX-7's only for idiots!

:guns: :guns:

But will we ever be happy with a car the way it is, I'm sure after a few weeks of driving your super-car you will need more cinnamon buns and faster icing.

what i want.....well it would be a tight, rigid 2 door 2 seater. engine would likely be a high revving, short stroke V8, supercharged with 550hp. i'd have a conventional 6 speed rear drive gearbox with the obvious LSD(helical or clutch-type). forged aluminum 18" wheels, big 14 inch rotors in front, 13 in rear with brembo calipers all around. styling would likely be aston martin-ish since i think the new DB9 is possibly the sexiest car on the road, but constructed of carbon fibre with curb weight being approx 2800lbs.

Well if it's a semi realistic car I'd like a Chrysler 300c with a nice Kenne Bell Blowzilla blowing about 1.5 bar down the Hemi's throat and a nice tank of 100 octane. Throw 22's on for some :bigpimp: factor. That would be a nice daily driver.

Has to be fast black and unique or rare skyline m3 and carrera turbo come to mind. Ideally i would like anything with potential i really do hate saving for school. Its frustrating i know i can tune something but dont have a platform to do so :thumbsdow

that's easy... the Blitz Skyline R34... but in Red... or Black... without any noticable graphics... and no body kit... sleeper skyline (if that's possible)

something with 4 doors so i can carry a few buddies, a nice looking exterior and interior (genuine leather  ) AWD or RWD, a sexurity system that would pulverize anyone that tries to jack my car, and should sound like a european exotic with that sexy supercharged squeel while running more than 40mpg :D

since such a car will proberly not be made in the near future i'll just stick with a Pagani Zonda S in blue or red

ok fine maybe thats a little out of my league, a 87-89 M6

Early 70's Datsuns

240Z with RB26DETT w/6sp MT
or
510 with SR20DET w/6sp MT

Old school with some newer school technology is the way to go.
