Just starting a thread as what people feel is the best insurance comapnies. Ther eis lots of different thoughts and opinions and of course u settled with yours. But why did you do so?
Some criterias to cover as well should follow.

-rates!
-coverage
-car modification yes or no?
-will they run from you (state farm, so i've heard/read)
-anythign else you can add i'll edit this post and put it up

your age, car, and yearly rate would be kinda cool too so peopel would know. add if it covers ur mods and what not too!

So I am led to believe that meloche monnex/TD/primmum are the same company.

Why, when my friends call them they cannot be insured? They have the same stats as me but end up paying twice as much!

My friend

20 years old
1983 camaro Z28
PLPD
400/month

Yes, I do believe they're all the same company.
As I understand it (mostly from feedback of people who are covered by meloche monnex), they will only take three categories of drivers:
1) Someone who is in a professional field/member of a professional association (ie. APEGGA) -- This is how I got on
2) Someone who has a long standing, impeccable driving record
3) Someone who's family is loyal to the company

I'm guessing you fit into one of these categories and your friends don't, or else I will have to make more.

I think it might be the third!

My mom has gone through them forever and has a perfect driving record. We also have them for home insurance.

Before i called them my quotes looked like this:
3750
4280
3380
3756
3200

AMA=2700 but i had to take their driving course which was booked for 3 months.

I called TD back and said my mom was with them. he pushed a few buttons and dropped from 3380 to 1762. It only went up when i switched from an 89 2.0 to a 94 3.1.

Hooray for primmum:thumbsup:

TD Insurance
21 Years old.

Rates based on me being 20 years old.
-1987 VW GTI
-$1920yr plpd
-Cover my motor swap becase it was available in that body style. However, I pay more, and am treated as if I owned a 16V from that era instead of the 8V which my car was. Heavy modifications not covered.
I have 1 ticket, no accidents. 3yrs consecutive iunsurance coverage.

As a rule, having 1 minor ticket will not raise your rates up at all.

AMA
19 years old

1989 daytona CS turbo
mods not mentioned
PLPD
1 at fault accident, 1 ticket
4032/year (336/month)

i would go with td/mm but my parents aren't with them, and i've only been driving for about 3 years, so needless to say i'm fucked untill i'm 23 or so.

I am covered by royal and sun alliance I have an 88 chevy blazer, I used to drive a 93 nissan for the same price.

I am 21 and have 4 tickets, 4 accidents and I paid 501/mnth for PLPD plus theft/fire. I just moved to a rural community so I am saving a little now.

Dyck Insurance (brokers).

Married, 29, no tix/accidents in 5+ years, 2002 Jetta full coverage except glass.

Been paying just over 1100 a year since we got it. (I will have to check to be 100% sure, so might edit). Before that we had a 94 sunbird - it was around 1500 for everything. Turning 25 is the golden time for insurance.

98 ZX6R = 490 a year for full except collision. Half of that is theft insurance.
