How to stop Quick Time from playing movies

How do I get quick time to stop playing my movies when I open up a link?

I hate this stupid video player and I would much rather have windows media player play them.

I have tried settings and options and files types but it still usually plays my vids.

change your settings or remove the palyer all together.
Thats all I did!

deselect the movie formats from the what formats to play menu.
