Need opinion on this ??

Has anyone had any experience with Paint Stripper for prepping cars for paint ? Is it worth it or should i just rough up the paint ?

i dont know too much about paint stripped, but im not sure it can be used directly to prep a car for paint. I think you need to properly sand it to prep after the stripper is used.

I was thinking, use the stripper and then 220 sand the car after to smooth everything out ??

I just want to know if the stripper is worth using

well, you want to go to at least 400 when prepping, 600 if your a keener.

Yeah your right, I ment 220 after the stripper for the rough part and then a fine grit to do the finishing

If there is nothing wrong with the paint other than dull, scratched, not checked or peeling, you don't have to strip the paint. You can if you want but it isn't necessary.
