1990 300ZX N/A Automatic (changing gears manually)

Hey, i'm after some advice, is it good or bad changing through the gears on an automatic?

no harm physical harm other than more wear and tear...u should really try to find a manual

as long as you dont go into too low a gear for your speed then there isnt really that much harm

why would u ask that question , u should know with an auto car nothing bad is going to happen to your gears, and why would you make a 300zx auto to start off with.

My accord is an auto..and i am getting it changed as we speak...but i always did that..shifted it on my own...i mean its bad..but i always was going to change it..sooo didnt care to much...BUT i mean auto tranys are pretty strong soooo...just dont get into the habit of doing it all the time..

Yea i shift through my gears a lot. Especially if i have a full car. but i'm swapping it sooner or later anyways so not a big deal for me.
