Kipper isn't playing horrible, not well but you can't blame it on him, his own player blocked him from getting back to his net on Cheechoo's goal and the third goal he pretty much had no chance... don't give up yet, i know it looks uterly hopeless but remember game 6 vs. Van we came back from 4, well at least i tried for optimism

It's pretty obvious they're evening things up now...there were just 3 hack penalty calls on San Jose in a row. Just like the 5 hack called penalties on Calgary in a row in the first.

They need to go back to the 1 ref system and make the rulebook smaller.

This entire series he's been served with bullshit calls. I haven't heard a single person have a reason for most of the penalties called on him except for that he has a 'reputation.'

You go back and look at all of his penalties and I bet you'll find 1 or 2 that were GOOD calls. The rest were BS!

Its a totally different view for the players down on the ice. We as the fans have an overhead view and can see all that is going on. If there are open lanes to pass or shoot and players aren't seeing these, I am damn sure gonna be yelling "SHOOT IT"... whether they do or not.. Not to mention Calgary NEEDS to be "SHOOTING IT" more... The last goal today by calgary was because they got infront of Khabnov (sp) and put the puck on net.. and guess it worked... I know I was yelling "SHOOT IT" ALOT during todays game.. and yes, i think it would have made a difference in the outcome had they done that.. :) IMO

This is quite possibly Calgary's worst game of the postseason so far, with the possible exception of game 1 vs Vancouver.
Good news is this isnt a new situation for us... series tied at 2, heading on the road for game 5... calgary has thrived under pressure, let's hope they keep it up now that they are once again truly the underdogs.

The issue I see with the Flames PP is that they don't have a true offensive defensman to quarterback it. The closest one I would think is Jordan Leopold but he's still young. What I also don't understand is why the Flames don't use a 4th forward on the PP instead of sticking defensive defensman like Commodore back there.

If it were me, I would have Leopold and whichever forward has a nice hard shot at the points (Saprykin, Donovan, etc.), Iggy, Conroy, and either Gelinas or Simon to screen the goalie.

we did that last year, we used drury. once the puck hops over the line nothing we can really do but depend on the goalie...

If the puck hops over the line, doesn't really matter if it's a dman or a forward manning the point. The point of a PP is to capitalize on your man advantage.

I thought the Flames did better with Drury at the point on the PP, there was better puck movement then say with Commodore or Montadore back there. All I see them ever do is dump it back into the corner instead of passing or shooting on the PP.
