just finished the front brake setup today. i think i need a master cylinder from the 300zx cause the brake pedal feels a little shoft, it takes a lot of heavy foot work to lock them up. maybe i need to bleed it again in a few days. any suggestions?

What did you do exactly?
It looks as though you installed Z32 calipers on your stock 240sx rotors. Is that correct? And you think you need a 300zx master cylinder? Sorry, I just don't understand what you have done so far from your post. If that is the upgrade you did, then yes, the 300zx master cylinder should improve your pedal feel quite a bit.

rotors/calipers are from a 300zx.

i think from reading other threads that you do need the 300zx MS, but i'm not 100% sure, and i'm too lazy to search.

actually, I'm still running the stock rear setup with the 300zx master and it works great. I'll eventually swap over to the 300ZX rears but I need the e-brake setup from a Z32 before I can do it..

Looking good!

I suggest rebleeding them, if your just doing the fronts, you dont really need a new MC... its a little soft, but brakes work so well. Dont really have to press them that hard to get them to lock up.

My brake set up
Z32 TT 30mm, performance pads/drills rotors.SS lines and dot 4.
Rating from 1 - 10, i give it a 6.
Car/Wheels are just to light for 4 pistons.

Stock brakes with right pads/rotors or Q45, pathfinder/qx4 2 Pistons would be a lot better for this application.

i really have to hammer on the brake pedal to lock them up.

ah... i will drive it for a few days then re-bleed the system. then i will go from there.

i think a rebuilt 1- 1/16" MC is about $100 plus core at autovalue.
