spring/strut install help!

hey guys,
just picked up a set of h&r's and koni yellows for my IS300 but I called the dealership to see what install would be and its over $500.

does anyone have any reccomendations on where else i could try? thx

500 for the full install? thats not too bad. there is quite a few hours of labour. The only way to get around shop rate though, is to do it yourself.

interesting...ive done a spring install before...but from what ive heard its just a pain in the ass to work on my car...i havent touched anything on it yet and to tell you the truth im a bit scared :confused:

but yeah ill just check around and who knows maybe i will do it myself :)

It's worth trying yourself and if you can't do it then bring it into a shop. All you'll be wasting is your own free time even if you figure out it's too hard to do.

i think you need air tools to make the job easier. get all the tools you need first before you attempt.

is the sping and shock strut assembled already or are they apart?

and pm hightower he instaled my springs for a 100 and did a good job too
