What kind of muffler would sound good on my Pathfinder? I want a deep tone, and not have that raspy sound (the sound of air rushing out). I am not sure what to do with the catylytic convertor weather to leave it on or hack it off, still debating about that one. What diameter pipe should I use? I dont want too big because I will loose torque, I think the stock size for the pipes are an inch and an eighth. So what size and mufflers do you guys recomend?

Oh cool, well a remus wont work on mine, because the muffler is in the middle of the truck...anyone else?

You could try looking for a flow master truck muffler.

I have a flow master on my durango, the tone is very nice. i have headers on it as well, so that makes it a little "throatier".

dont worry about the exhaust being too big since u have a big engine and boost. i dont think the ricer noise is an issue either cuz the engine is a v6..

im using a flowmaster on my car, and its not too bad, i havent decided whether i like the sound or not yet. Its way quiter that my old ghetto exhaust, and im pleased with that, but the sound im undecided on.

I am happy that i didnt seem to loose any power with the loss of db's. (butt dyno that is)

In his info it says "with boost" so Jeff just went with that...hence why you should be honest with your info...

The engine obviously plays a huge role in your exhaust tone. As many people have said I think flowmaster would be your best choice.Never heard a Pathfinder with exhaust before...can't wait

go to www.4x4parts.com and check out the forums there....pretty sure that most people use Magnaflowon their wd21 pathys

search around on that site and you'll find all the info you need regarding pipe size/muffler etc...

Here, try checking this one out. http://www.aero-turbine.com/ Saw the ad on SpeedVision one time, and checked out the site. The tone ain't bad if you ask me (there's links to sound clips on the page). Price wise, it's a little steep, but if you want that deep, throaty sound, this is the way to go.

I luv the sound of my Xforce Titanium exhaust....it's deep and loud, and when cruising the high way, it's quiet.....it comes with silencer which wont change the tone at all
