<I tried to search for 3M but the search engine would not allow any 2 character words.>

Does any know of a cheap place to install this stuff? How much would it cost to do an A4? TIA

When I worked at Lexus, a 3M guy would come to the shop and do up the lights hood etc. I don't know if he was a guy from 3M but he did a pretty good job. Call the detail shop there and see if they can give you any info.

I just got off the phone with them.

Hood, fender, bumper = $500. (350bumper, 160 hood)

Didn't think it'll be that much... :(

Blech! I think to get a whole roll (not sure how long of a roll) only costs like $600, which is more than enough to do 5 cars, bumpers and hoods, as well as other parts. I guess it depends on how patient you are to figure out how to put it on yourself...

I would like to get mine done too, in case I drive mine in the winter, the 3M will protect it from rocks! hehe

My parents paid $1000 for theirs in a package for our MDX from Northwest Acura. It included leather and vinyl protectant, undercoating, paint sealant and the 3M film on the hood and mirrors :dunno: I thought that was expensive but :dunno:

I'm planning on getting the 3M film on the Accord too, probably just on the hood though. I don't really like the looks of car bra's and plastic deflectors. Plus, some of those do more harm that good.

EDIT- 3M Trimline does good work, I always go to Rob at the one just off 32nd Ave in the NE. I get all my tinting work done their too

What if someone cracks your bumper with the 3M tape on it? Would it be difficult to remove the 3M tape? And after you repaint the bumper, could you put the 3M tape back on?

Am I making sense?

you probably wouldn't be able to reuse the 3M tape after you take it off, so if you get into an accident, you would have to redo it.

I got that 3M tape for $495 at the dealership.

6" strip on the hood
rearview mirrors
full front bumper
fog lights

Lonestar wanted to charge me $500 for it...I think it was just the hood though. I regret cheaping out on it cause I have so many paint chips on my hood :banghead:

And thats what I am worried about! Things do happen in the winter......3M is a great idea but what if you need to repaint your bumper anyway?

Its only like $200 bucks to get your hood repainted.
