Hp Boost with vtec

I was just wondering what kind of hp boost all you honda drivers get when vtec kiks in? , i know nothing about hondas, vtec, ect, my friend drives an SiR and says if feels like an extra 20 hp, well anyways thanx for answering

vtec is what honda calls their variable valve timing system..... there is no set amount of power gain when "vtec kicks in" as you call it. it depends on the cams.

by "no set amount" i meant if you changed to more aggressive cams the power gain would be different.....

i'm not going to get into the different types of variable valve timing...... i-vtec this... vvti-l that......
