Take a quick drive to Bearspaw. They sell them at a gas station just off of 1A. Just take Crowfoot until it turns in to the 1A towards Cochrane. It's about 5min. out of town. I think it's the 3rd set of lights after crowfoot crossing. You can't miss it, it's the only Gas Sation that I can remember on that stretch. It's on the left side, it's old looking and has a big 'fireworks' sign out front.

It's illegal to sell them in city limits - they are not illegal.

are these fireworks?, NO they are firecrackers, which ARE illegal in canada!

2003 - Well, the good news is that firecrackers are again legal in Canada - but you will need permission from the local representative of the Explosives Regulatory Division for the event for which you want to use firecrackers at. Once you have this permission, you should be able to buy the firecrackers from any licenced pyrotechnics company in Canada. Your best bet might be one that is already importing products from China, such as The Fireworks Factory

Also, chinese firecrackers don't fall under normal firecrackers.

Of course, there are some stupid laws on the books:


In Calgary, it is unlawful to throw snowballs or set off firecrackers within the city, without the authorization of the mayor or City Council.
