fun? maybe of you can go that fast. do you know how long it would take to get down that straight in a civic? haha.. way too long...youd hit your top speed comin out of the corner.. then just over heat by the next corner

you don't make much sense here. you can always, in theory, get any car to go any speed. you just need to make sure that EVERYTHING is up to the task for going 241mph. you could do this in an older camaro or firebird pretty easily since they are very slippery (drag is only .301 or something). put a 700 horsepower motor in that and you will have a pretty fast car.

And you would be able to use that Camero as a street legal daily driver like you can with the McLaren? Will this Camero have a world class sound system and awesome interior? Will it look timeless? Will it run on pump gas? Will it lap around a race track amazingly fast?

That's the beauty of the F1 and other supercars. It's top speed is just 1 of the 100 other things it does well. A purpose build car that can only run top speed for 10 seconds on 15423 octane nitro plutonium fuel before it runs out and needs a rebuild has nothing on the genius of the McLaren F1.

You can make 700 streetable horsepower in a Chevy easy, and you could run it on whatever octane gas you want. You could turbo it and run 94, or go all-motor and run 87. You could put in your own sound system that would be better then the McLaren's (the F1 has no radio, only CDs). It could be totally street legal. The interior could be made awesome. Of course, it would still be ugly, but you could make it a wicked car.
You could do the same thing in any car, if you wanted to. It's just a matter of investment.

i wouldn't trust ANY unmodified component of a camaro that you just slap a 700HP engine in...you'd need to mod every single component of the camaro or else it'd be a death trap.

it would become uncontrollable way before that speed.

Best made so far. It's only a matter of time until someone with enough money is willing to produce something faster.
I am not sure is MB bought Mclaren yet or if they are going to, but I heard rumors that if MB did aquire Mclaren, they would be producing some supercars.
The F1 which would be made to steal the Enzo's crown
The F2 which would be a 2+2 coupe w/V10 to take on the Ferrari 456GT.
The F3 with a V-10 engine that would take on the 360 Modena
