just wondering the horsepower benefit of adding one of these, as well as the sound diffrence... will it be too loud? will i end up needing a resonator just to tone it down?
thanks everyone:)

the hp benefit is almost nothing if your stock cat is working properly and it still quiets down your exhaust quite a bit.

nobody has seen any gains from a high flow cat:dunno:

one on sale at www.jbodyalberta.com
install it and find out, but i think the gains will be minimal if any.

the only way it will add "power" is if you have a properly built and sized exhaust system.
I/H/C/E
eg. short ram intake, header w/ 2" collecter, 2 1/4" hi- flow cat, 2 1/4" exhaust.
bag eg: short ram intake, header w/2.5' collector, 2.5" hi-flow cat and 2 1/4" exhaust.
with out the propewr system, USELESS

see i got one put in cos my car was so freaking loud over the years.. and i dont notice a difference all it did was make it sound alittle nicer than someone hearing me like 4 blocks away.. i think it just mellows out the noise really.. but hey i could be wrong

The stock cats on the Kl engines are pretty restrictive, guys see pretty big numbers with resonated testpipes, so expect slightly less with a hi-flo cat...at least with a cat your car wont stink like unburned gas.
Have you changed your cat since the car was bought, if its 94 PGT with a 10 year old cat, you'll likely notice a difference. You may notice an increase in exhaust noise as well.

i have intake...headers ...down pipe....full custom cat back....that goes into dual pipes.....but i put a resonator...with out that it is soo load...but now it sounds soo soo soo soooooo good......but its hard to tell the gains and shit...i mean if u just have a cat back...u got better air flow going out....but like u need that better air flow coming in.....sooo...but pretty much most people are right like u wont get to much better gain, like in higher RPM's u will see it a bit more....but your lower RPMs u will lose.......small gains...need mostly the hole works...but only way to tell is to slap her on and then take her to the dyno sooo
