CarFax is unreliable. I checked up the VIN of my cousins write off car and it came out clean but the car was rebuilt!

Thanks alot man, I've always wanted to test this out but I didn't want to fork for it. Yeah I trust them, but it's really not telling you everything since they only have the report database they have to look up records on. But they tell you at the beginning that things could be missing if they were not reported to Carfax. For one, my car apparently has had no owner registration lol!, I guess Alberta DMV doesn't specify what kind of owner you are if it's just personal use.
