 I remember you telling me about this car. Do you even fit in it? $500 doesn't get you much in a car so it might not be such a bad deal. Before your insurance company will insure it (and before the registries with give you plates) you'll have to get a safety inspection on it though. If I were you and you were serisouly looking at it I would get a mechanical inspection on it.

You could probably get a better car than that for $500 lol. My friends winter beater is an 86 accord that he bought for $400. He's still driving it till today with no problems...

$500 isn't bad for a first car, but you can find something bigger/safer and maybe a more power for that much. Might have a little rust, but at least you won't be sitting in the rear passenger compartment when you drive:nut:

Those are damn cool cars. Only Civics I like actually. Go for it. There was one at Pick-Your-Part if you need some parts cheap.

anything that runs is worth $1000. a friend worked at a dealership told me that. $500 is a good deal IF it runs.

How do you get around now anyways?

I'd rather save up a little longer and buy a little bit more expensive and reliable car in case it may have problems in the future. It's not good if the car breaks down in -30 C weather.

But as long as you like it. Have you driven it? Did you like it?
