Anyone have a Mazda 6 they'd like to race?

I'd really like to race a MAzda 6 at Race City. I will be bringing a 00 Grand Am GT.

If you're talking about cocoabrova...his car is not a Mazda 6...

I have had it at the track before. Faster then most would guess.
And I am pretty sure I could take a Mazda 6 (V6 auto) but probably would get beaten by the manual trans version, if the person could drive!:D....most people can't drive a manula very well

Not sure if you've ever raced before but I have and its fun.
I have the road test of the Grand Am and my times are faster at Race City.

Its even more fun if you race someting compareable to your won car--then its a good race and not a masacare.

Why the 6? Well I drove an automatic and thought it was a dog.
I think the Grand AM GT can take it. 175hp VS 220--the 3400 V6 has more torque at should be stringer down low--while the 6 is pretty high rpm stuff.

And I would welcome a race from other mid sized V6 cars too.
It would be better to try arrange a race then show up at Race City and just hope there is someting you'd like to race.

Im pretty sure it says under "car I drive". It's a 240sx with a fuel managed SR20DET but only 5.5psi of boost. Im sayin that if you're gonna be there we should race, and you'll see that 4 banger's aren't that slow. Ill be there cuz i want a "baseline" E.T.

Hey Buddy....please don't start misquoting me....I never said 4 bangers were " slow" OR crappy. So give me a break.

I am smart enough to know that some are quite fast. And I have heard of the SR20DET swap.

I raced one at Toronto Motorsport park. He must have been having some problems though, wasn't running too great. And he got lots of wheelhop. Neat though.

The North American 240's should have came with that engine in the first place.

And to the guy in the Neon---unless your spraying or are turbo/supercharged....good luck!

But people go out to Secret Street with their daily drivers--and some happen to be manuals. So wouldn't call a car that goes out there a drag car (unless it was)

Yes rage2--this thread is a joke now. I just want a good race (a Maxda 6 would be nice but anything else that would be competive would be fine) so right, I cannot win. Unless, maybe, at the track! :D

ACX--I am not sure what a first gen Neon has for bolt ons or how fast they run with them. Do you know?

Can't guess, have no idea what their numbers are. Never liked them enought to care.

But if you like, I'll take my stock 1986 300ZX and race you. Non-turbo, nothing special, just my daily driver. Not really fast, but fast enough for me.

175hp and 205lbs-ft of torque. Is your car a 5 speed or automatic?

Nothing too wrong with 18 year old cars. As long as the mileage isn't super excessive and its been taken care of --it should run allright...I think:dunno:

hey man,.. I'll race you,.. you have the 3400, and I have the ol' 3.1, running stock and when new @ 140hp & 185 ft/lbs trq,... no real mods,... cai,.. cat that's falling apart,... rusty muffler,..ummmmm softening motor mounts,.... I'll give you a run for your money,...lol.
