Trailblazer 2000

First post for me here!

I just bought a 2000 trailblazer, with the Vortec 4.3 V6.

Any comments, heads up or things to watch for?

I think what you have is a Blazer, I thought they only started the Trailblazer in 2002. Pretty sure the Trailblazer only came Inline 6 4.2L. Haha correct me if I'm wrong...Welcome to the boards

there IS such thing as a trailblazer, it looks like a normal jimmy/blazer, but with more options and trailblazer badging

I have a 2003 LT Trailblazer, not a full load but its got 275hp in a inline 6 so it has some giddy up and go go

My dad has a 99 Jimmy, basically the same. He's had a lot of problems with ball joints. The dealer kinda screwed him on the warranty with it also. Other than that it's been pretty reliable.

One thing to watch out for....it's a pig on gas.

For the most part you are dead on the money, some of the Envoys (GMC counterpart) had been released with the 5.3 liter V-8. I would guess the Chevrolet Trailblazer was also availible with the 5.3 too. After driving both I prefer the 4.2 I-6
