So i went out racing my claimer this weekend.....

think of it as a money making venture :P you spend $200 to build a car, and if its a good car, it gets claimed for $400 (after each night anyone from the stands or pits can claim any car for $420 ($20 goingto charity) and the owner MUST sell it, the only thing you are allowed to remove is the racing harness), and then ya just build another, then you have paid for both of them with the money you received and you're all in profit :P

question what does this mean
"Any car may be claimed by any spectator for $420 within 15 minutes of the end of the feature race. Any car finishing in the top five may be claimed by any competitor pit pass holder within 15 minutes. Multiple claims will be settled by random draw. Claims may be made with cash or credit card."

does that mean is i want to buy your car all i need to do is say give me your car here is 420 bucks?

yep, thats a way of keeping it fair (and cheap) and having people not put tons of money into thier cars, after the main race any spectator can claim any car or any competitor can claim any car finishing in the top 5, the claimant gives $420 to racecity racecity give $400 to the person claimed, thye then have 15 minutes (or so) to remove thier harness and hand over the keys,




my car cost me
Car: $100
Steel for roll over protection: $20 (and the sponsor kicked in $20)
Paint: $20
and my harness which i get to keep was $83

so essentially it cost me $140 (and a bunch of time) to build this car.

I think I have found a car to do this with and should be picking it up this weekend, only thing is... Do I have to have a roll-cage? it doesnt look like any of those cars do, but the rules say i have to have it.? :dunno: ... If not im in... :rofl: :thumbsup:

AND FYI there is a claimer race tomorow night at RCS, gates at 6 racing at 7... i'll be there in my new claimer the #21 its a fire truck, so cheer me on!!! :D

they have claimer racing at EIR, only the rules are a bit diffrent, and a claim is worth $300

there have been 3 races at RCS and i beleive 4-5 claims... most of the time if there is one claim then there is several, its usually a spectator claiming a car, and then that cars driver claims another car... and maybe that one claims another... depends on the poeple...


as for hauling, you CAN leave your car out there for $20 from race to race (to be paid upon entry to the next race) but you can trailer them to and from if you want.

i didn;t do as well as i hoped, i got 9th of 17 cars in the main... stupid car kept kicking from 2nd to 3rd but when i held her in 2nd she flew, i'll do much better next race im sure
