Not a big fan of that one, is that pre-production or the actual design?
The headlights :barf:
The rims:barf:
The "echo" rear end:barf: :barf: :barf:

doesnt look too bad. Kinda looks like the SiR and im sure if you painted the plastic body moldings and what not it would look even better
WHAT THE HELL IS THAT, THATS NOT GERMAN AT ALL!!!, wtf were they smoking when they came up with the design for that? holyshit, that doesnt look like a jetta at all, one can only hope that its a consept that will never happen, i thought the new models were going to be nice and better then before. ITs not a dub,a nd its deffenitly not an alright looking car. :barf: :barf: :barf: :barf: :barf:

Isnt that a Golf? It sorta looks like a civic hatch.
Actually .. I like it .... but, yes, does not look German, more japanese style ..... like the civic SiR ..I guess that is the design direction ...German cars look more Japanese ... Japanese cars look german....american cars look in between ... :dunno: :dunno:

I must say, my opinion differs from the rest. I actually like it. I have always liked the european designs. I do admit it is a little more Japan styled, not german. Although like I said before, I really do like it.!!!!

The overall car is too round.. the rear end looks rather uptight, and looks kinda skinny.

I thought there was something wrong with it saying it was a 06 Jetta. Either way if that’s the perception of the next Golf, I wonder how the jetta is going to look like.... Actually know that I look at it and know its supposed to be a gold I don’t really mind it, It seems a little to high though, and I don’t particularly like the front it kind of seems a little to fat. I particularly don’t like the plastic molding.

thats the actual design, they're for sale in germany already. we'll see them next year.
Me likes the look, but thats cause you cant really tell how huge it actually is. this car is a pig. PIG. even heavier than the MK4 golf which are cronically heavy themselves.
But the style is hot.

The mkv design is SLOWLY growing on me.....but I'll have to wait until I see one in real life to make a final decision as to whether it is :barf: or not. IMO its too "civicy" looking
mkiv forevar! ;) :D

I think it looks pretty nice, but seems to be straying away from the european look it had to a more japanese style now. Reminds me of the current SIR's (like someone mentioned before).

Am I the only one who thinks it looks hot?
I do agree that the valences need to be painted to match though.

its just "ugly" to most people because it lost the traditional VW look with a plain rigged design, but instead a more sporty design so to speak

Looks awesome, and will age well.. The only problem with this design is it will make all the old ones look dated! :D
