I went with the MOPAR Performance Catback (as made by Borla). System is 2.5 inches, mufflerless (as stock) with a resonator upstream.

Nicer, lower sound, lots of pops and rumbles. Sounds nice. Seat of the pants is great. Spool up is quicker.

I got a hell of a deal on it.. 560cdn installed.

Just wondering why you went 2.5inch why not 3?

If too big you can lose exhaust velocity

turbo cars are generally not in need of any back pressure from proper sized piping as there is already a huge lump of metal restricting the exhaust flow anyways (the turbo)

3inch.. way too loud without a muffler, so I'd be cutting of my nose to spite my face.. The thing was loud stock!!

On the dyno, a 2.5 vs a 3 inch compared very close, to well into the 300 WHP range. For a nice 3 inch system with muffler I'd be looking at a grand easy....:bigpimp:

I'd be the alarm setting off machine with an open 3 inch (not to mention a magnet for the po-po lol)..:drama:

I can definately see the advantage of going with a less restrictive exhaust, as the new one isn't as windy, but to me, it looks like its a smaller diameter than the old one.

I wonder if the stock one will fit on my car? Are you looking to sell it?

It SHould bolt up.. I have no need for it so yea.. I'd sell it.

As for the diameter.... 2.25 stock :barf:

2.5 is the new one.. :D

they typically dyno 7-10 hp across the range for the better...

No dyno yet for me other than stock (see sig).

three.eighteen.

with a sleeve to take your downpipe from 5 inches down to the requisite 2.25 for sure.:bigpimp:

Just to expand on AARP's point, the Mopar cat back at 2.5" has been dyno proven to be basically even in performance to a 3" up to about 300 fwhp. One you get into a turdbo swap (or maybe a nice shot of nitrous) the 3" will pay dividends. The major restriction on the stock setup is the turbo / O2 housing itself.

Additionally, there is a cost issue. There is yet to be a viable 3" that's easily available in Canada and shipping from the USA would be a killer.

Rumors also persist of a Mopar downpipe. That would be nice.
