Hi.
I'm considering a sports car/coupe of the 95 year, give or take a couple years.
what're my choices and what're the prices?
best bang for buck?
thanks.
looking for imported (japanese), rear wheel drive.
but anything else can be suggested, thanks.

If you want to import a 95 car you have to wait until 2010. The earliest year you can import is 89. That gives you the Skyline, 180sx, Fairlady, MR2, 2G RX7, MIII Supra.

Come 2008 i would be looking for a 3G RX7 or the MkIV Supra

Not very many jap rwd cars in 1995 but still some nice choices: Supra tt, rx7, s14 (i believe zenki in 95), miata, all infinitis other than the i30 and the g20, lexus gs, sc. If you're looking for a nice daily driver Id go for the SC. People debadge their cars because they want to

You will have trouble getting an "imported" car from mid 90s. To be legally imported, a car has to be 15 years old. However, an import that was built for sale in North America shouldn't be a problem. I'd go with either an RX-7 or an MR-2. If you can afford more, then Supra... if you can afford less then: 240SX. I think the only one I left out is the 300zx TT, but all I know about these cars is that there's 2 of everything.

Edit: Damn my slow typing!

how does the 240 sx rank in those choices.
what's the price for a 93 up to a 97.
thanks.

Are you open to AWD? Because the Stealth and Talon could be a choice.

95 is a bit of a tough year for finding one of the high powered RWD japanese cars. The high powered GT cars of the early 90s had taken a steep decline in sales throughout the early 90s as they became bloated and out of the price range of the original market, 95 is one of the last years of that generation.

let's consider some fwd then.
what am i look at there, other than the obvious preludes, integras, etc.
prices would be really helpful, thanks.

What is your price range? Because I don't think you could find one of the 95 RWD cars for below 20 grand, except for an NA 300zx or 240sx
A 95 240sx should go for between 10 and 15grand I imagine

Thank you...

The Mid 90's DSM is a great platform, great for power potential and if you get a 95 and newer amazing handling can be had as well...
