HELP, I can't get the door panels off to change out the speakers. I got all the Torx screws out and popped the clips but something is still holding to the panel and good. Is there a hidden clip or something else right around the window controls?

Are you taking off the drivers door or passenger? The drivers door youhave to pull off the inside of the door handle then pull up onthe whole trim piece and there is 3 screws behind it. On the passenger side there is 2 screws behind the handle. Take a look at VW vortex I think there is osme pictures there. Or drop me an email and I can see if I can find them.

The drivers handle will pry off from the instide (small little plastic piece that will be the inside of the door grab. And the passenger die can be pried off right from the bottom.

Sure are, you need to drill them out. You will also need about a 1.5" spacer that you can make out of MDF to mount the speakers properly too.

Just heat up the rivets with a propane torch and pull the speaker towards you. Works like a charm. :D
