its gonna cost you atleast $4000 just for a beater, your best bet is to buy a beater for the first few years until you get a good record

Best bet is to have the vehicle registered under your parent's name and add yourself as a part time driver. There's no way you can afford insurance as the primary driver:rofl:

As for the accident, depending on the severity, your insurance will pay for it but then raise your premiums :D

I was an occasional driver under my parents name once. it was like 500 for 6 months i think.
also my insurance is according to that website is over 4gs a year. If it was turbo it would be over 5gs. I can't figure out why it cost so much since one of my friend owns a 95 probe and pays 2500 a year and my other friend owns an integra and pays the same. Both cars are 2 doors. :nut:

I think i paid 138/month for a 2 door cavy when i was 18 and now i'm 21 and pay around 2000/year for a Z24.

And that was my own insurance.

Where the heck do u guys live and why is it costing so much for your insurance? Jesus Christ!! I live in Alberta Canada and I am (female of course;) ) but I used to pay only $1,200/yr for PLPD and I have a 94 Grand Am and I only pay $1,500/yr for PLPD. I'm with the Co-operators. :D I cant' afford full coverage so thats why I just go with PLPD.

you pay less because you are female. It cost $46xx to insure my car just PLPD for one year. If I am female I would be paying $22xx for the exact same coverage. I tried many place but the best I got was $3000 a year because my family is insured in the same place.
